The Gospel of Matthew depicts the true disciple of Jesus as one who not only hears the teachings of Jesus but does them. Just as the wise builder chooses a rock foundation on which to build his house, the disciple of Jesus builds his or her “house” by hearing and doing his teachings. And in response to his commission at the end of the gospel, Jesus’ disciples teach others to do the same.
Classes
Chapel: This class is a traditional Bible class setting featuring an informative biblical presentation as well as class discussion and life application.
Fellowship Hall: This class is discussion oriented and features creative exploration of Scripture. Class participants will play an integral role in the outcome of the lesson each week.
Intersection, Adult 2: This class features the telling of life stories which highlight the intersection where God’s story meets our lives.
Heart to Heart, Adult 1: This class is made of a core group of women committed to being encouraging, supportive and mentoring to women of all ages and all stages of life. Its ministry is to provide a loving, caring sanctuary for women as they go through difficult times in their lives.
Singles III, Parlor: This is a class for older single adults.
Spanish/Bilingual, Adult 3: Class instruction and discussion in Spanish and English.
