Renewal
It's the beginning of the New Year as we return to routines and commitments. It's time to sit down with a pad and a cup of coffee and compile a to-do list for 2001. Always the first priority is to shed a few pounds with diet and exercise and start each day with new enthusiasm. Renewal is in the air.
Many people make New Year's resolutions. It feels good to realize the results of a renewed lifestyle, but sometimes there is point at which the newness wears off. The weeks fly by and the daily sit-ups begin to disappear. The alarm clock has been reset 45 minutes later. The pounds come back. The renewal was temporary.
The renewal that God offers is forever. He gave us grace through which we are forgiven for our sins by the sacrifice of his one and only Son, Jesus Christ. So, by accepting Jesus, we are cleansed of our sins. WE ARE RENEWED.
Through the grace of God you can live in the Spirit of Jesus and obtain self-love. Jesus will erase the pain and guilt of the world. Jesus will heal you and fill the voids in your soul.
We invite you to come to church with us to be baptized into Christ and to worship with us as we remember his sacrifice.
Pray to God and confess your sins. Tell him you accept His loving gift of forgiveness for your sins through the death of his Son Jesus. Tell him you accept Jesus as your Savior and ask Jesus to come live in your life forever and transform you into his image.
