YP Ministries

These ministries, their vision and goals are:

Devotional and Education – To assist individuals increase their spiritual knowledge and maturity through biblical studies and praise to God. This ministry’s goals are to provide an avenue of spiritual growth and reinforcement through classes, retreats and small group meetings, provide opportunities for individuals to prepare lessons, agenda and devotionals.

Service -To assist individuals to grow spiritually by serving the community and other individuals. This ministry’s goals are to provide opportunities for the group to serve god and the community and other individuals.

Visitation – To provide a welcoming environment for visitors and form lasting bonds of Christian fellowship with them. This ministry’s goals are to connect with visitors and develop a relationship with them, grow in numbers by encouraging visitors to become members and encourage visitors spiritually.

Social Events - To provide a safe and comfortable environment for members, visitors and guests to fellowship, develop relationships based on trust, create new friendships and to know God. This ministry’s goals are to organize events that provide a comfortable atmosphere to explore their Christianity outside the Church, plan events that provide those seeking to understand Christians with an unthreatening and welcoming atmosphere where they can see God’s hand at work, organize events that connect the group with the church, community and other Christian groups.

Youth Outreach –To reach out and connect with those that are approaching college age and assist them in the transition to the Young professionals group and provide a comfortable place for them to continue their spiritual growth. This ministry’s goals are to connect with Christian youth and transition them to the Young Professionals Group, connect with youth that are looking for a Christian home and provide them with information about Altamesa and the young professionals, and develop contacts with local colleges and act as a point of contact for those that may be seeking a Christian home.
