Philippine Mission Report

Dear Brethren at Altamesa,

We would like to take the opportunity to update you briefly on what’s happening in the Philippines. We have talented mission teams and growing congregations in Babag (Team Leader: Elmer Palacio; Baguio (Team Leader: Alex Coloma); Barili (Team Leader:Jeff Cal);Tagaytay (Team Leader:Ems Layco); and Talisay (Team Leader: Wayne Pabillion). We also have groups of MTP’s (that is, Missionary Training Program participants) in Baguio, Mactan (Cebu), and Tagaytay. Along with these mission teams, we are supporting the expansion of classes and facilities for Green Garden Christian School as well for the Mactan Church of Christ; plans for more new congregations to be planted in several locations during 2005-2006; World Bible School; Philippine Christian Chronicle; and other worthy projects and services.

We are excited about the work and growth of the church in the Philippines; but as with any work, there are a number of needs that we are constantly struggling to meet. We are always in need of monetary funding, of course. Be we also need workers, teachers, encouragers, and prayer partners. Many of you have already contributed or assisted in some or all of these areas, and we thank you so very much for any and every effort on our behalf. We also thank you for your continued support, whether spiritual, financial, or both, and want you to know how grateful we are for your friendship and partnership in our work.
We pray that as the days and weeks progress, God will show us what we need to do and where we need to be; and that He will provide for our various needs as He has always done. We also pray that He will bless each of you and cover you with His love. We are so privileged to be a part of your church family.
