Formed: discipleship values in Hebrews 10:19-25

June 06, 2021

Series Description: At the most basic level, discipleship is about following Jesus. It is not for the experts or the faint of heart. It is for the willing: willing to trust, willing to learn, willing to embody and live Jesus. As the writer of Hebrews sets out to encourage Christians who are being persecuted, and thus, wavering in their faith in Christ, we find (Hebrews 10:19-25) an inspiring call to confidence in God. The message is meant to motivate us to be molded…formed…by God as we humbly submit ourselves to his presence and power. This series will remind us of our discipleship values that help us live as active participants in the kingdom vision of Jesus. Live Dependent: let us draw near to God. Live Surrendered: let us hold fast to the hope we profess. Live Compassionate: let us consider how we spur one another on toward love and good works.  Live Connected: let us not give up being together. Live Prophetic: let us encourage one another – and all the more as we see God’s kingdom coming. Join us for this series as we are formed by God to live faithfully for his glory, our joy, and the sake of the world.
