Typically in November, Altamesa hosts a food fundraiser to raise money for Neighborhood Needs to purchase food for our community. This year, due to the government shutdown and high food prices, the Tarrant Area Food Bank is struggling. So, instead of money, we are asking for specific food donations. Here is a list of Neighborhood Needs’ most pressing food needs:
- Peanut butter
- bags of rice and bags of pinto beans (1 or 2 lb bags)
- canned vegetables (corn, green beans, carrots, diced tomatoes and kidney beans)
- Macaroni and Cheese
- pasta
- pasta sauce
- stuffing mix
-instant mashed potatoes
Please take your food donations to the back of Neighborhood Needs (the side that faces the church building) on Sundays between 9am-10:15am or to the church office, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm.
