The Week that Changed the World: the agony and acclaim of Christ’s Passion

Series Description:  Over the centuries as Christianity spread across the world, conflict grew in the city of Jerusalem making it increasingly difficult to visit holy sites connected to Christ’s passion. Eventually, believers across the world began creating replicas of these sites to commemorate Jesus’ journey from Gethsemane to Golgotha. These copied sites would eventually become known as the 14 “Stations of the Cross.” As we experience the stations together this Lent season (around the church building), we will also reflect on some of the sites through sermons. Over the next six weeks, we will walk with Jesus and some of the main characters through the agony and acclaim of Jesus’ passion week...the week that changed the world.
