Long before we can fully explain what we believe, songs and hymns shape our imagination, carry Scripture into our memory, and connect faith to the people and experiences that mark our lives. Singing is not just an act of worship; it is a practice that forms us emotionally, spiritually, and communally. It creates space where belief is not only taught but felt and lived together.
In this series, members of our congregation will be invited to share a hymn that has had a lasting impact on their faith. Each session will reflect on the hymn’s story, its scriptural themes, and the personal memories and experiences bound up with it. Together, we will consider how hymns give voice to joy and grief, hope and longing—and how they continue to shape how we see God, ourselves, and one another. Through shared singing, listening, and reflection, Hymns of Our Faith invites us to rediscover music as a powerful gift through which God forms both individual hearts and the life of the community.
This combined Bible class begins on June 7th.
We hope you will join us in the chapel at 9am for this class! (This class will NOT meet on July 5th or July 19th)
