Desire, Gifts, and Calling

Here at Altamesa, we invite men and women to serve on Sunday mornings in a variety of ways based on desire, calling, and gifts. We believe this is critical for the work of ministry and to build up the body of believers (see Ephesians 4:11-13). For a couple of decades, women have filled various roles in our worship services, and that participation has increased over the years.

On any given Sunday, you will see women sharing a testimony, participating in dramatic presentations, reading scripture, leading worship (praise team or band), leading prayer, serving communion, or baptizing women. Other ways you'll see women serving in our church family is on our ministry staff as well as a ministry leader, Bible class teacher, or small group leader.
